     Itinerary:

If you arrive a day or two earlier, we recommend booking an excursion to Soweto or the Apartheid Museum.

You will be picked up at any of the following spots for the start of the tour between 7 am and 8 am:

1. O.R.Tambo Airport, 2. Gautrain Centurion Station,

3. Your centrally located hotel, 4. Home pick up

Please request a quote (info@amatungulu.com) for home pick up, or if your hotel is not on our route. (Between the O.R.Tambo Airport and our destination.) Pick up point must be indicated on the booking form.

Day 1: You will begin the safari and drive through some of the most scenic areas of the Eastern part of South Africa. We visit the intriguing museums and shops in Pilgrim’s Rest and then drive to view Pinnacle Rock and then to experience the amazing view from God’s Window. We then visit the Berlin Falls, where numerous local arts and crafts are for sale. (Lunch en-route, restaurants available) From here we visit Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and then head the Blyde River Canyon, where we overnight in a chalet at the resort: Forever Blyde Canyon (or similar). Buffet dinner with the best prepared local dishes will be enjoyed at the restaurant.

Day 2: You leave after breakfast to take a boat trip on the Blyde Dam. An interpretation tour will take us to the Kadishi Tufa waterfall and the Three Rondawels. An abundance of wildlife will keep you distracted while learning more about the natural history of the Blyde Canyon. The Kadishi Tufa waterfall, at 200 meters (around 660 feet) in height, is the second tallest tufa waterfall on earth. Completing this, you will head to the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Center to learn about a number of animal species including Cheetah, African wild dog, Lion, African wild cat, Ground horn bill, Sable antelope, etc. Visitors can view the resident animals in close proximity, in a habitat simulating what they would experience in the wild. From here you go to the 4 - star Phelwana Game Lodge (or similar) where your conference can start from 15 pm. This luxury lodge offer facilities like a microphone system and full Wi-Fi access at the main lodge. They also have an outside lapa and bar area for alternate dining experiences, dinner, breakfast and high tea as well as guided activities on Phelwana Game Farm.

Day 3 and 4: Qualified and friendly field guides offer unforgettable memories to you when doing the morning bush walk for 1 hour through the reserve, and upon your return a delicious breakfast is served. A 2 hour morning session of conferencing follows, lunch is served and another 2 hours of conference commences. An afternoon game drive for approximately 1½ hours can be taken now, as nothing beats an African sunset where you get the opportunity to view the game and the majestic sunset while enjoying a refreshing sundowner drink. The sounds of the bush around the fire in the Phelwana lapa creates the perfect setting for your dinner.

Day 5: Breakfast is followed with a drive to the Kruger National Park where the best scenic routes will take you to get more opportunities to see the Big 5. Chances are excellent to spot a variety of some of the animals like Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild dog, Spotted hyena, Elephant, Zebra, Hippopotamus, Warthog, Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland, Roan antelope, Sable antelope, Kudu, etc. Once you reach the Skukuza camp, you will have a popular 3 hour sunset game drive in an open safari vehicle where the amazing African sunsets can be seen, and return at night while viewing some nocturnal species, then dinner at the restaurant. Overnight here.

Day 6: Leaving Skukuza after breakfast with a view of wild animals over the river, we have another game drive out of the park and back to Jhb.
